Control of Substances Hazardous to Health

This is a 1 day course

If you have 4 or more delegates we can schedule a course for you, or run it in-house. Contact us online or call us free on 0800 783 1184 for details.

The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) course is aimed at people with the responsibility for the health and safety of their employees and others who may be exposed to hazardous substances.

Our COSHH training course will cover relevant issues likely to affect people managing the use of chemicals including:

  • COSHH regulations and principles
  • Undertaking a suitable COSHH risk assessment
  • The need for maintenance
  • Prepare and maintain records
  • Undertaking appropriate training
  • Health surveillance

The course will also cover what is hazardous to health and discuss why safety should be managed proactively rather than reactively.

Delegates will be briefed on the importance of procedures and implementation of a programme for the control and assessment of substances within their organisation.

By the end of the course delegates will have a sound understanding of their personal and legal responsibilities for the control of chemical substances.

Scheduled Courses:

This course is not currently scheduled as an open course. The vast majority of our COSHH training is delivered in-house to groups of workers from the same organisation, often tailored to the specific COSHH risks and particular hazardous substances that the workers come into contact with.

Please contact us online or call us free on 0800 783 1184 to discuss the possible options for providing COSHH training to you.
