Courier Insurance

Courier Insurance

Couriers and delivery companies face a number of potential situations which can result in hefty compensation claims being made against them. Courier insurance can be split into two main groups of cover to protect against any claims: Insurance for the packages being delivered, and insurance for the vehicles being used to deliver those items.

Goods in Transit Insurance (for couriers) - Options Available:

  • Insurance cover is available for items damaged whilst in your possession up to £105,000
  • Secrecy insurance covers couriers delivering unidentified goods
  • Insurance for scanning equipment
  • Public liability insurance up to £5million - This covers your business against claims made against you by members of the public if they suffer injury or their property is damaged as a result of your business activities.
  • Employers' liability insurance up to £10million - This type of insurance is compulsory in the UK, and covers your business against any claims brought against it by employees who are injured or made ill as a result of insufficient health and safety policies in the workplace.
