This course is approved by the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and is intended for Executives and Key Managers who wish to raise their awareness of Health and Safety legislation.
The course will cover relevant moral, financial and legal implications of Health and Safety in the workplace and include the following:
- The legal framework
- Statutory / common Law
- Risk assessment
- Health and Safety management
- The root causes of accidents
- Requirements and potential penalties
- Financial implications
The course will also cover monitoring methods to define hazards and the importance of establishing systems for successful Health and Safety management will be discussed.
By the end of the course delegates will have a broad view of what they have to do to meet legislative requirements. Delegates will be able to put Health and Safety issues into perspective and meet individual requirements.
Delegates are required to undertake a written and practical assessment.
Successful candidates will receive an IOSH Directing Safely Certificate.
