Aims and Objectives

This course is approved by the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) and is intended for directors, executive officers and key senior managers who wish to raise awareness of their health & safety responsibilities. The course also covers the Institute of Directors and Turnbull report documentation and procedures, and includes bespoke exercise scenarios.

  • Loss management
  • The directors role
  • Corporate governance
  • The cost of failing to manage health and safety
  • Principles of effective health and safety management
  • Strategic implementation of health and safety

    Directors, executive officers and senior managers - the course is valid across all industry sectors.

    Duration

    The course will be delivered over one day.

    Certification

    At the conclusion of the course delegates are required to undertake a short multiple choice assessment and short project. Delegates who successfully complete the assessments at the end of the course are awarded the IOSH Safety for Senior Executives certificate.
