This course is accredited by the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and is designed for those who wish to improve health and safety standards within their business or organisation.
On successful completion of the IOSH Managing Safely course, delegates will have an understanding of the legal requirements for risk assessment and be able to identify hazards both generally and from their organisation's perspective.
The course will cover relevant issues including:
- Defining hazards and risks
- Implementing schedules for active monitoring and analysing records
- Health and safety legislation / codes of practice
- Active monitoring (inspections, checks and audits)
- Procedures and techniques used in management reviews
- Accident and incident investigation
The course will also cover the main provisions of health and safety at work incorporating the Management of Health and Safety at Work regulations.
At the conclusion of the course delegates are required to undertake a multi-format assessment under examination conditions, and complete a project which needs to be returned by post within 10 days of the course completion date.
Successful candidates will receive the IOSH Managing Safely Certificate.

We run the IOSH Managing Safely course across the UK in Nottingham, London, Manchester and Newbury. Unlike some training providers, all of our open courses include exam fees, certification costs and study book(s), as well as a buffet lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
