NEBOSH Environmental Certificate
The NEBOSH National Certificate in Environmental Management, or NEBOSH Environmental Certificate for short, covers the practical issues of managing environmental risk. The syllabus takes a risk management approach based on the best practice and international industry standards, including:
Who Should Attend?
Managers, supervisors and employees based in the UK, who have responsibility for managing environmental issues as part of their day to day duties. The qualification focuses on UK law and environmental management systems. It also provides a sound basis for progression on to the NEBOSH National Diploma in Environmental Management.
No previous environmental management knowledge is required but candidates should note the assessment includes a written exam and the requirement to write a short report.
Course Material
Each delegate will be issued with a course workbook and official Environmental Certificate Study Book to assist them both during and after the course - this workbook will contain information, guidance and forms to assist managers. The course is designed to be interactive, allowing delegates the opportunity to develop their skills with the support of the course tutor.
Course Tutor
Our environmental consultants are qualified and experienced professionals with a background in delivering engaging training. All consultants hold membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).
Course Duration
The course will be delivered over 1 week (five consecutive days).
Examination
This NEBOSH-accredited qualification is assessed by an exam (lasting 2 hours) and a workplace-based practical environmental inspection project. The exam is conducted in our training centres at the end of your course, and the project is completed in your own workplace. The project should take no longer than 3 hours to complete and you will have 7 days from the end of the course to return it to us by post.
Certification
On successful completion of the examinations, delegates are awarded the NEBOSH National Certificate in Environmental Management. Certificates are issued by NEBOSH approximately 12 weeks after the completion of the course, although results are usually issued within eight weeks.

Brief Description: This book is designed to meet the requirements of the NEBOSH Environmental Certificate syllabus. The text is supported with many photographs, as well as hand-drawn sketches which show the standard required in the NEBOSH examination.
It also provides an excellent reference guide for those with environmental issues as a function of their work or those who have full responsibility and are looking to progress to the NEBOSH Environmental Diploma qualification (Level 6).
The book covers topics such as UK law, relevant European directives and standards in context and environmental management systems such as ISO 14001 and BS8555, which is relevant to small and medium enterprises (SMEs), to provide a broad understanding of environmental principles and practices.
